Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Wed: Summer's Hottest Celebrity Marriages, Romances & Makeup Looks

Brangelina made it official! Nine years as a couple, two years of engagement and six kids later, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally tied the knot. The vows took place at their own sprawling $60 million estate in the South of France called Château Miraval during a super secret and intimate ceremony last Saturday. 

The pair made it a family affair. Jolie walked down the aisle of a small 16th-century chapel located on the property in a long white antique lace and silk dress with her elder sons, Maddox and Pax, giving her away. Their other children Zahara and Vivienne threw rose petals, while Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. This marks the third marriage for Jolie (her other unions ended with Jonny Lee Miller in 1999 and Billy Bob Thornton in 2003) and second for Pitt (his union with Jennifer Aniston ended in 2005). 

Mr. and Mrs. Jolie-Pitt, as they prefer to be known now, use their star power to pursue humanitarian efforts through the Maddox Jolie-Pit Foundation. The organization, which dedicates itself to eradicating rural poverty, protecting natural resources and conserving wildlife, has raised approximately $17 million.

Jolie and Pitt weren't the only celebrities who publicly professed their love this summer. Several said, "I do," such as Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey, and Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, while others came out as a couple, such as Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara, and Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed.
