The countdown to the spring wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has begun. The reality TV star celebrated a Paris themed bridal shower at The Peninsula in Beverly Hills, Calif., last Saturday. The couple now prepares to tie the knot in Florence, Italy on May 24, debunking earlier reports that the two were planning a ceremony in the City of Light.

Is there anything more magical than a spring wedding? As day lengths get longer and flowers begin to bloom, the season celebrates renewal and rejuvenation. The future seems as bright as the post-winter sunlight.

June 4: Angelina Jolie turns 38.

Happy birthday to Angelina Jolie. The Oscar-winning actress turns 38 today.

It's been quite a year for the mother of six and humanitarian. Last February, Jolie underwent a preventive double mastectomy after discovering she inherited a genetic mutation that put her at a high risk of acquiring breast and ovarian cancer.
